Cigaal Shidaad __Somali story
The beginning of the story
There was a Somali man named Cigaal Shidaad. He was a brave, funny and intelligent man, but sometimes he abused his courage. He was a great traveler who would go on long trips without much fear.
The dangerous traveler
One day he decided to go on a journey. He took a large tree to lean on, some clothes and a small weapon, and then he went to a land where no one lived.
As he walked, he reached a wide beach with water, and there he saw something amazing: many animals that could talk to people, trees of a kind never seen before, and large beasts.
The encounter with the jinn
Cigaal Shidaad heard that the place he entered was inhabited by jinns and mysterious things. Unfortunately, when he slept under a tree at night, a large jinn came and ate people.
The jinn said, "Why did you sleep here without knowing that it was my land?"
Cigaal Shidaad, who was fearless, said:
I am a traveler, wherever I sleep is my home tonight, if you are a good host, let me stay, otherwise I am ready to fight you.
The jinn was surprised by the courage and rudeness of Cigaal Shidaad, and he was convinced not to eat him.
